Beach Therapy. Is it really?

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

The relationship between your strength, power, vibrancy, immunity and the great outdoors.

There was never a day that existed since time began, where the ocean would cease to feed her soul with the immense energy and time that it needed to grow' ️

(An except from the Royal Fit Apparel Long Story, a book that has been created to help empower readers to improve strength through adversity from the inside, out)

The term 'Beach Therapy' has always been a bit of a cliche for me, until I found out recently that actually the beach is extremely good at boosting energy and your immunity, thus your health.

Since the whole ethos as a Royal Fit Warrior is to do, be, wear and live strong and powerful lives, this recent discovery of mine was definitely worth further investigation. Please read on if you're looking for a simple solution to improving your health and strength.

Did you know that, you are at your strongest when your vibrant & healthy?

If you're feeling a little run down It's quite possible then, that you are surrounding yourself with the wrong types of ions. An ion is a molecule that has lost or gained an electron through various atmospheric forces and/or environmental factors.

There are positive and negative ions which do the opposite to what you might think.

Positive ions are typically carbon dioxide molecules that have been striped by an electron and can have a negative effect on your body, when you're exposed to them in excess. This can be particularly problematic for both our respiratory and immune system. The home and office environment can be incredibly negative on our systems due to the impact from surrounding electrical equipment such as air con, lights and computers. Dust, high winds, humidity pollution and humidity are also contributors to positive ion generation in our environment.

This build up of positive ions is linked to low energy, fatigue, sickness, anxiety, depression & asthma.

Negative ions on the other hand, have the direct opposite effects of positive ions to our health, mood and energy. They are created when a molecule gains a negatively charged electron. They are statically attracted to airborne particles like dust, mould, pollutants and allergens. Once they attach to these potentially viral molecules they literally bring them down to ground.

Where do these ions exist? And how do we turn our world around? Negative ions are in abundance at the beach, in forests, near waterfalls and after a thunderstorm. This is why we often feel so energised, vibrant and happy within these surrounds.

If you are not amongst nature then you can invest in a Himalayan Salt Lamp for the home and/or office which has also been shown to reduce positive ions in the environment, allowing the immune boost.

So the good news is that you can stay strong simply and quickly by getting out there and amongst nature and when youre not able to a Himalayan Lamp has been shown to work too.
