Nut Job Choc Protein Balls

So here's my nut-job protein balls recipe. Kind of matches my personality at times ;-) I haven't met anyone who doesn't like my super chocolaty nutty protein balls and often people cannot believe they are actually good for you! Personally, I love these tasty energy snacks because they give me great energy for my cycling classes and often if i have one of these I get my watt max or attain a high power average per kg of body weight on the IC Matrix bikes when teaching at Fitness First. Also it's one of the only things I can actually eat before cycling classes, without feeling nauseous during the class.



Ingredients

1 x packet of mixed nuts- activated and then crushed

4-5 scoops of chocolate protein powder

Cocoa Powder

1/2-3/4 Cup of Melted coconut Oil (you may require more depending on how guey you prefer the consistency of the balls to be)

1 TBSP Organic Honey

1 TSP Organic Vanilla Essence



Optional Extras

1 TBSP Maca Powder

1 TBSP Maple Syrup

Orange Rind for Chocolate Orange variety or Organic Mint Essense For Mint Chocolate Flavour


Directions

Mix all the dry ingredients together then add the wet ingredients. Mix thoroughly and make the mixture into seperate balls place in the freezer or your fridge for 1hr or more. (For less mess in your fridge/freezer put each ball into a pan patty)
